The Opportunity

The Operations Manager will be crucial in ensuring the efficiency of our business operations and establishing strategic goals for the future. The ideal candidate will bring a comprehensive understanding of business operations, along with strong leadership skills that guide performance while upholding the company’s vision and culture.

The primary objective of this role is to drive profitability, foster sustainable development, and ensure long-term success. While experience in construction or trades (landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) is preferred, it is not required. What matters most are excellent customer service, organizational, and management skills.


Responsibilities

  • Develop goals and objectives that promote growth and prosperity.

  • Design and implement business plans and strategies to achieve company objectives.

  • Ensure resources (people, materials, equipment) are available to complete activities effectively.

  • Oversee financial management and coordinate with the bookkeeper on monthly reports (income, cash flow, profit).

  • Organize and coordinate operations for maximum productivity.

  • Supervise staff, provide feedback, and foster professional growth.

  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and suppliers.

  • Gather and analyze data to inform decision-making and reporting.

  • Represent the company at events and conferences.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legal rules and guidelines.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a business manager or in a related operations role.

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • HR experience in hiring, supervising, and developing employees.

  • Deep understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development.

  • Strong skills with MS Office, Google Suite, databases, and information systems.

  • Familiarity with Jobber software is highly desirable.

  • Basic marketing and strategy experience.

  • Knowledge of research and data analysis methods.
